Do you have a loved one with Parkinson’s disease?

It’s a progressive disorder of the nervous system that affects movement and can lead to tremors, slowness of movement, stiffness in the limbs and trunk, balance problems, and difficulty walking. There is no cure for this disease but there are many ways to manage it. For example, exercise has been shown to slow down the progression of PD by increasing dopamine levels in the brain. A Mediterranean diet rich in fruits and vegetables is another way to reduce risk factors associated with PD. And finally, sleep hygiene – getting enough sleep every night – reduces stress which may also contribute to neurodegeneration over time.

You can help your loved one live a better life by encouraging them to eat healthy foods like fruits and veggies as well as exercise regularly (daily walks or yoga). If they already have Parkinson’s disease then encourage them not only to get more restful sleep at night but also to take part in activities that will keep their mind active such as reading books or playing games on their phone! These steps may seem small but they could make all the difference when it comes to living with this condition!
